Scientists currently recognize seven living species of sea turtles worldwide, five of which can be found in the Red Sea: the green turtle , the hawksbill turtle, the leatherback turtle , the loggerhead turtle and the olive-ridley turtle.

About the Event
Scientists currently recognize seven living species of sea turtles worldwide, five of which can be found in the Red Sea: the green turtle , the hawksbill turtle, the leatherback turtle , the loggerhead turtle and the olive-ridley turtle. but only three species are frequently observed in the Egyptian Red Sea and they are:
• The Green Turtle
• The Loggerhead Turtle
• The Hawksbill Turtle
Learn more about their ecology, threats, behavior and conservation status. We will also introduce the code of conduct and best practicies for snorkeling and diving with them and provide volunteer in conservation opportunities through our citizen science program Red Sea Turtle Project.
